Cheat Codes

From Blood Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

Cheat codes or cheats are specific text strings which can be used to activate special modes or (typically) bestow some kind of beneficial effects on the player. They can upset the gameplay balance, hence the use of cheats is usually frowned upon by fellow players who consider it cheap tactics of beating the game. Additionally, the level complete screen will show >>> YOU CHEATED! <<< string above the stats.

Blood[edit]

To enter a cheat code during gameplay, hit the [T] key (or any other key assigned to 'Talk'). This disables movement and enables the text prompt in the upper left corner of the screen (the game is not paused). Type any of the text strings below and press [Enter] to enable the associated effect. The codes are not case-sensitive.

Note: Latest version (v 1.21 One Unit: Whole Blood) introduced several changes and bugs associated with certain cheats. These are mentioned in the table.

Code

Effect & Notes
MPKFA Invulnerability (Caleb receives no damage from any sources). Toggle.
I WANNA BE LIKE KEVIN Invulnerability.
NOCAPINMYASS Invulnerability.
CAPINMYASS Disables invulnerability.
VOORHEES Death Mask (temporary invulnerability). Displays the message I WILL NOT CHEAT, I WILL NOT CHEAT and if repeated: I AM A COMPULSIVE CHEATER. In 1.21, there's no feedback. Typing it again while still invulnerable may cause the effect to become permanent and irreversible.
GRISWOLD 200% full armour (same effect as getting Super Armour).
CLARICE 100% full body / fire / spirit armour. Does nothing in 1.21.
SPORK 200% health (same effect as getting Life Seed).
COUSTEAU 200% health (same effect as getting Life Seed) and Diving Suit. It will not refill your suit if you already have one in your inventory (the countdown starts at 100, but reverts to old amount instantly upon use).
KRUEGER 200% health, but sets you on fire. Displays the message FLAME RETARDANT. Due to a coding mistake, the cheat gives you 12 Fire Armour instead of supposed 200. Because of this, you will die from the fire, despite the flavour text.
MCGEE Sets you on fire. Displays the message YOU'RE FIRED.
EDMARK Instant death (does fire damage, you can survive with 200% fire armor and 200% HP). Displays the message THOSE WERE THE DAYS.
KEVORKIAN Instant death (does physical damage, you can survive with 200% physical armor and 200% HP). Displays the message KEVORKIAN APPROVES.
JOJO Drunk mode (same effect as getting bitten by Red Spider). Meant to act as a toggle, but does not.
FORK BROUSSARD Drunk mode, no weapons. Does nothing in 1.21.
FORK YOU Drunk mode, 1HP, no armor, no weapons, no ammo, no items, no keys, no map, Guns Akimbo power-up.
STERNO Temporary blindness (same effect as getting bitten by Green Spider).
ONERING Temporary invisibility (same effect as getting Cloak of Invisibility). Meant to act as a toggle, but does not.
EVA GALLI No clipping (grants the ability to walk through walls). Unlike newer games, walking outside of map boundaries causes Hall of Mirrors effect instead of black void. Stays active even after visiting a new map. Toggle.
GOONIES Fills automap for the current level. Toggle.
MARIO e m Warps to any level. In old versions, MARIO brings up a window to choose episode, then one to choose level. In 1.21, can only be used with Episode and Map number, e.g. MARIO 1 3 will bring you to Phantom Express. It can also be used to enter BloodBath levels in single player mode (Episode 5).
CALGON e m Skips current level. In 1.21 it does nothing, except if you use it like MARIO, e.g. CALGON 1 3.
SPIELBERG e m Disables all cheats. If number values corresponding to Map and Episode number are entered, i.e. SPIELBERG 1 3, you will be spawned on said level and the game will begin recording a demo from your actions.
KEYMASTER All keys.
GATEKEEPER On older versions, takes away your keys. In 1.21 it does nothing but will still label you as a cheater at the end of a map.
SATCHEL All items.
FRANKENSTEIN Doctor's Bag.
FUNKY SHOES Gives Jump Boots and activates them. The code won't replenish boots to 100% if you already have them. Typing it again should remove them (You have no Jumping Boots.) but it won't.
CHEESEHEAD Diving Suit. Same bug as in COUSTEAU - partially depleted suits won't actually be refilled.
TEQUILA Guns Akimbo. Meant to act as a toggle, but does not.
BUNZ All weapons, full ammo, and Guns Akimbo power-up.
MONTANA All weapons, full ammo and all items.
IDAHO All weapons and full ammo.
HONGKONG All weapons and infinite ammo.
LARA CROFT All weapons and infinite ammo. Displays the message LARA RULES (not in 1.21). Typing it a second time will remove all weapons and ammo, even the pitchfork. After that if you try to switch weapons two times, the game will freeze because it gets into an infinite loop while searching for the next weapon.
LIEBERMAN Does nothing but will label you as a cheater at the end of the map.
RATE Displays current frame rate and coordinates in the top right corner. Doesn't count as a cheat.
