Weird Science (DWE2M4) is the fourth level of the second episode of the add-on Death Wish, considerably known as episode 8. It is set in a castle area wherein the Cabal has been experimenting with genetics, electricity and even teleportation. It also contain access to the secret level DWE2M10: Dread Faction

"Jump from your ship into the sea. Swim to the right of the cliff where Tchernobog waits and kill the Cultist in the boat. A Gill Beast will be summoned while you are making you are way over to the boat so be ready. Swim to the dock and lure the Hell Hound near the Flare gun into the water. Grab the supplies and Diving Suit then head up to the top of the cliff on the big lift. Grab the ammo by the corpse and walk towards Tchernobog. He will throw some explosions your way before disappearing. Defeat all the zombies that rise up, keeping in mind that the doors to the castle will eventually open releasing various Cultist types. Enter the castle and you will be in an area we will call the Statue Hall. If you destroy the hand statue a Life Seed will appear along with many Choking Hands, so use an explosive. Jump in the water to get the Fire Key. Get out of the water an go up to the Fire Door. This will open up the walkway to the right and the ghost hall straight ahead. Ignore the ghost hall and head along the newly opened walkway to the stairs. Continue to the library where you will find a Tome. When you pick it up a hidden entrance will appear to the dungeon. Head down the spiral stairs, eliminating the Acolytes on your way. At the bottom of the stairs you need to kill the Hell Hounds quickly. Use Tesla ammo if you have it. Enter the area opposite the fourth secret (see below) to get the Spider Key for entering the torture chamber. Go to the torture chamber. Go up the staircase to the balcony. If you turn left you will find a switch that requires the Moon Key - you will be returning here later to access the secret level. Grab the Skull Key and fall into the water. Climb out before the Gill Beasts can hurt you. Before entering the ghost hall through the back entrance you may want to shoot out some of the windows from outside and throw some TNT into the dining room - it is full of enemies. Enter the rear entrance to the ghost hall. Do not get near the ghost in the hall or a Phantasm will appear. The door to the right has some Spirit Armor, which you will want to grab. The doors on the left lead to the dining room. Mow down the Cultists to the left to obtain the Eye Key. Head back out the Fire Door toward the statue hall and go left. Open the gate with the Eye Key and go up the ramps. Continue across the wooden bridge to the storm tower and grab the Moon Key at the summit. Head back to the Moon Door (near the Fire Door) and continue past it to the mission's end. If you want to get to the secret level, ignore the Moon Door and head back to the balcony past the torture chamber. Use the Moon Key on the switch up there to lower the pillars placed in the water area. Jump across the tops of the pillars until you come to a secret entrance. There are 2 Hell Hounds just inside the entrance so I would suggest bombing them ahead of time with the Proximity or Remote Detonator.   • From where you get the Fire Key, keep swimming down the long underwater tunnel. At the end to the left is a niche. Reward: Napalm Launcher, Diving Suit
  • At the high walkway to the right that is already opened when you first entered the castle, there is a broken wall near the fire. Jump inside the fire area and hit the switch to raise the brown pillar to your left. Reward: Body Armour, Drum of Bullets, Box of Shells (Life Seed only in 1.7.9)
  • At the opening halfway down the stairs to your right, you should be able to see Tchernobog standing on a ledge. Make the big jump over to him (it may sap some health) to reach the ledge. (Note: Activate the Jump Boots at the last minute to avoid damage.) The teleporter will take you back to the stairs, so don't try to jump back. Reward: Tesla Cannon, Life Essence (Drop into the water below and swim over to the opening for a Napalm Launcher, Gasoline Can x2, and a teleporter in version 1.7.9)
  • Down inside the dungeon where you battle Hell Hounds, there is a small sewage waterfall to your left that holds some Shotgun ammo. Above the Shotgun ammo is a stone face; shoot it to open one of the dungeon cells that contain a tome message (and a Zombie). Reward: Gasoline Can, Box of Flares, Shells (Box of Flares, Tesla Charge, and no Zombie in 1.7.9)
  • On the opposite side of the area that contains the Spider Key is a grate you can destroy that will allow you to enter a hidden room with the fireplace. (You'll have to break a vase and shield to see it.) Reward: Key 7, Death Mask/Invurnerability (no Death Mask in 1.7.9)
  • Inside the dining room where you get the Eye key, opposite the key table is a metal saucer behind some hanging bodies. Blow up the saucer to reveal a hidden space. Reward: Cloak of Invisibility, Box of Flares, Fire Armour
  • After opening the gate with the Eye Key and before going up the ramps, look right. There is a breakable stone decoration that will reveal a passage to the gated area. In the gated area, look up the ceiling and pop the hanging body to get the secret. Reward: Life Leech
  • To access the secret level, return to the high ledge overlooking the water. (There is a teleporter to the right of the stairs just inside the Fire Door if you don't want to trudge through the dungeon/torture chamber.) There is a stone face here with the Moon Key symbol; use it (after getting the Moon Key, obviously) and the pillars with lanterns on them in the water will adjust their height so you can jump over to the newly-opened entrance. (Beware of the Hell Hound just after the top step!) Reward: Exit to DWE2M10: Dread Faction
