Planet Blood (also commonly typed PlanetBlood) was a Blood fan site sanctioned by the GameSpy network (famous for other "Planet" affiliates such as Planet Quake and Planet Half-Life). Since 2006 it had been silent/dark, when it converted its pages to remove the news section and several of its links have become lost.
It was one of the most viewed fan websites during the heyday of Blood and Blood II: The Chosen in 1997-98 into the early 2000s. Despite its decline, it is still a good resource for its archived information, fan fiction, fan modifications, and fan art. Many Bloodites, including several still active, got their start through this website.
The website stayed inactive but still online until 2009 when GameSpy took down many of the old or relatively inactive Planet websites, including Planet Blood and the related Planet Shogo. Despite this, most of the website's content can still be accessed through the Internet Archive or through custom made backups such as one hosted by DeathMask or by one hosted on the Blood Wiki. In addition, many files and creations created originally for Planet Blood can still be found on various different websites.
