Charles Wes Saulsberry III was a technical artist for Monolith Productions, starting work on Blood II: The Chosen and Shogo: Mobile Armour Division released in 1998. His final game with the company was Gotham City Imposters in 2012, whereupon he joined colleagues Craig Hubbard, Brad Pendleton and others to form Blackpowder Games and its game Betrayer. Betrayer was made available as a free game on GOG.com on July 10, 2023. He returned to Monolith in 2015 to work on Middle-earth: Shadow of War, but left for Electronic Arts in 2021 alongside Matt Allen and studio head Kevin Stephens. He received a Associate of Visual Communications from The Art Institute of Seattle in 1996.
