GameFront hosts various Blood and Blood II: The Chosen modifications and files. Files available range from custom skins, new levels, to unofficial patches. Since switching from the name FileFront the website appears to have become much more poorly categorized, but it still has several hard to find modifications for download.
ModDB has several modification available for download for both Blood and Blood II, including Bloody Pulp Fiction and Rage Against the Machine for Blood and BastardCTF, DarkAct, Festival of Blood, FX Enhancer, and Outz CTF Maps for Blood II: The Chosen. Many of the Blood II files were uploaded from other websites by Joe Volante.

Polish Blood Centre
The Polish Blood Centre hosted various modifications for Blood and Blood II: The Chosen in its files section. These included several well known maps such as Legends of Iconoclast and The Carnage Continues, it also included several hard to find maps such as The 13th Realm. Despite no longer being online, the file links are surprisingly complete via the Wayback Machine.
Deep Cold Grave
The "Deep Cold Grave" section of the Russian Blood Community hosts various Blood maps and modification projects. It is unique because of its Russian based maps, even including a recreation of Moscow. The levels were created by Zik, Diman, and Ryan Williams. As of December 14, 2008 it hosts twelve levels and twelve larger Blood modification projects.
Control-Z's Blood Maps
A collection of Blood modifications created by Jimmy Chris DeVona, Michael D. Green, Mamba16, Anders Aandahl. Michael Haythorp, Christopher "Boogeyman" Brua, Desmond Sheppard, Daniel Wilson, J. E. Simpson, Nikk Matantsev, and others hosted on the ControlZ website. The majority were created for BloodBath purposes, with a few supporting single player. The website was maintained by Craig "ControlZ" Duckett, and started out on GeoCities (http://www.geocities.com/~controlzee) before moving to Planet Blood.
The website The Postmortem hosts a forum for both Blood and Blood II modding, to showcase, ask questions and post how-tos.

- BloodCM is a Blood total conversion for EDuke32, an engine derived from the Duke Nukem 3D source code and a branch of Build called EDuke.
- Cradle to Grave was a similar attempt for EDuke32.
- Bloodmod To Duke was an even earlier attempt for Duke Nukem 3D.
- BLEED is the tentative title of a project by Hendricks266 to allow EDuke to support Blood by reading from the original executable.
- NBlood is a port of Blood to the EDuke32 engine.
- BloodGDX is built from a disparate set of sources, including several branches of Build.
- Blood 32, OpenBlud and BuildSharp all tried to use different sets of Build code to create a Blood source port.

- "Infuscomus", a Doom map that uses Blood textures.
- "Miskatonic Trip", another Doom map that uses Blood assets.

- Caleb Versus Nazis is a ZDoom fan-made sequel to Blood by YouTubers 1Tristan2 and WiiStation360Games.
- Horror 3D was a project trying to replicate the early development versions of Blood on the Doom engine, based on the Blood Alpha.
- Blood Prequel was a project to create an open world prequel to Blood set in 1871, when Caleb first meets Ophelia.
- Ultra Crispy is a Doom mod that allows the player to take the role of Caleb in various Doom engine IWADs.
- Blood: Dead on Arrival is a mod that mixes elements from Blood and Doom 64, as well as including several mini-games.
- Blood Rebirth is a project to create an expanded experience from the original Blood, with remade maps, levels, enemies and more.
- Blood: The Curse Hunter is a pseudo-sequel to Blood being built on GZDoom that aims to add more modern as well as simply new gameplay mechanics while still retaining the game's classic feel.
- Various members of the ZDoom forums have produced sprites based on the ones seen in Blood.
- Samsara allows for Caleb to be played as one of the competitors. This was long a point of contention, with the mod's author TerminusEst13 not wanting to add him, feeling his attacks were too similar to the other classes. Eventually, due to the sheer amount of requests, he gave in and implemented the character. He explained it as "the inherent dichotomy of Caleb being a cool character and yet his games being so neglected and difficult to get into created an interesting point where people just really fucking wanted Caleb, and would settle for nothing less than wrenching him in anything they could, weathering any and all objections and problems in order to finally give him his fifteen minutes of fame.". Prior to this, he was available in the third-party Extra Heroes add-on.
- Classic Rivalry also features a Blood player mode, with the game's weapons added in.
- Extra Crispy was a project to try and create more accurate ports of the Blood weapons to ZDoom (video).
- A video was released on September 10, 2007 by piaediting purporting to be a "Blood 3" total conversion for ZDoom.
- Blood Adventure was a project by Doctor-Dos, first stymied by a hard-drive failure and then later abandoned.
- Transfusion attempts to recreate Blood on a modified Quake engine. Currently multiplayer only, with optional bots.
- Q3 BloodBath is a project that ports Blood and Blood II: The Chosen maps to Quake III Arena; they also work in OpenArena.
- Dead Reckoning was a project by Justin "icecoldduke" Marshall, creator of WinBlood, attempted to port Blood assets onto id Tech 3, announced on June 2, 2009.
- sectorCut is a tool designed to convert level gemoetry from 2.5D sector based engines such as Build, Doom and Jedi to the true 3D map format of the Quake engine or id Tech 2.
- There is a Caleb bot and skin for Quake III Arena made by Philip Stavitsky; it also works in OpenArena.
- There is a Caleb model for Kingpin: Life of Crime.
- Cabal Reborn was a proposed project for id Tech 4 (the engine used in Doom 3 and Quake 4) by User:DiamondClaw.
- BEAST once pitched a return to the "qBlood" idea by simply making a Blood themed total conversion for Quake.

- A student project at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi arts department "re-imagined" Blood as an isometric third-person shooter atop of Unreal Engine 4 focusing on twin-stick dynamite usage.

- On February 18, 2014 some work on making Blood content for the Unity game engine was unveiled by Augusts96.
- Similar work was later started by OrdinaryFpsFan789, releasing an early playable demo on May 22, 2017.

- Three separate notable attempts have been actually drafted at producing a non-official Blood III from scratch, including Blood 3: Reborn (appears to be based on the Irrlicht Engine), Blood III: The Reckoning (self-built engine via OpenGL in Delphi) and the aforementioned Project Bloody Murder (first FPS Creator, now Unity 3D).
- Blood: Refilled is a mod made for the Gamebryo based Fallout: New Vegas featuring Blood inspired assets.
- Lokemundux Cruo - The World of Blood was an online turn-based role playing game based on the World Of Phaos game.
- Blood Year Project: a project opened on SourceForge.net by stalker114 on October 24, 2004 that was supposed to built on the Genesis3D engine.
